Firm Wins "Suburban Office Deal of the Year" for Representing Normandy Real Estate Partners in Lease with TripAdvisor

BOSTON, March 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Transwestern | RBJ today announced Partners Jonathan Varholak and Ron Friedman received the Commercial Brokers Association's "Suburban Office Deal of the Year" award for their work representing Normandy Real Estate Partners in a 280,892-square-foot lease with TripAdvisor at Center 128 in Needham, Mass.

The complex, long-term deal brings TripAdvisor's global headquarters back to Needham, where the online travel company was founded in 2000. One of the larger transactions signed during 2013, the 16-year lease also features a 150,000-square-foot expansion option. The lease's true significance lies in the fact that it has already shown signs of a broader impact, with other companies and developers expressing interest in the nearby commercial areas, helping to boost the surrounding market.
