Trinity Broadcasting Network's "Praise the Lord" Welcomes Christian Broadcast Legend Pat Robertson

LOS ANGELES, June 23, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- When you think of the early days of Christian television, two names immediately come to mind: Pat Robertson, who founded the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) in 1961, and the late Paul Crouch, who, with his wife Jan, followed up in 1973 with the Launch of the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), which stands today as America's favorite inspirational network and the world's largest religious broadcaster.

On Friday, June 24th, Pat Robertson and his son, CBN's CEO Gordon Robertson, will join hosts Matthew and Laurie Crouch on TBN's flagship talk show Praise the Lord to reminisce about those early days and to talk about what's ahead for Christian television.

The special Praise the Lord program, taped at CBN's studios in Virginia Beach, Virginia, will include a fascinating interview Matthew and Laurie Crouch did earlier this year with Gordon Robertson at TBN's Jerusalem studio, recounting some first-hand memories of Christian television's early days. In the interview Gordon recalls the Robertson family getting its first television set back in 1963. "Believe it or not, my dad had a Christian television station before our family even had a television set," he remembered. "So this was the first time we could actually watch my dad and see what he was doing without having to go down to the studio."

Also featured will be segments from an exclusive 2012 one-on-one conversation between TBN founder Paul Crouch and CBN founder Pat Robertson, as the two trailblazers trade anecdotes and talk about the faith and perseverance it took to pave the way for Christian television.
