Trinity Basin Preparatory Breaks Ground On New Elementary & Middle School

DALLAS, Sept. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Trinity Basin Preparatory, a free public charter school district in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, held a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday to mark the commencement of construction for a new state-of-the-art elementary/middle school campus in north Oak Cliff. The new school will serve approximately 800 students in grades 3 through 8 starting in the 2015-2016 school year. 

In attendance were representatives from the Dallas Regional Chamber, Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce, school board members, teachers and staff, parents, and a couple students selected to participate in the ceremony.

Randal C. Shaffer, CEO and Superintendent, and Jennifer Masten, Elementary/Middle School Principal, both expressed appreciation for the hard work and commitment that went into making this project a reality. 

Ms. Masten went on to say "This is an important milestone for TBP; it not only demonstrates our continued commitment to our student's education, but also to the community.  We will continue to uphold our mission of inspiring students to do more, expect more, and be more." 

Houston based general contractor, Butler-Cohen LLC, has partnered with Trinity Basin Preparatory to build the state-of-the-art 78,000 square foot facility containing spacious classrooms, multi-purpose space, computer lab, library, and gymnasium.
