CHANGZHOU, China, Sept. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL) ("Trina Solar" or the "Company"), a leading integrated manufacturer of solar photovoltaic products from the production of ingots, wafers and cells to the assembly of PV modules, today announced that Jifan Gao, Trina Solar Chairman and CEO, attended the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2012 (the "Meeting") as a Mentor.
During a series of sessions, Mr. Jifan Gao, alongside key industry leaders, explored the influence of new business models, industries and technologies in the context of sustainable growth. As part of the 'Free Trade, Open Collaboration and Fair Competition' session, Mr. Gao elaborated on current developments in the Photovoltaic industry and commented, "We should work together with open minds to achieve sustainable development and create new growth engines for the currently challenging global economy."
Mr. Gao also shared his insights and opinions during other key panel sessions, which covered 'Exploring New Frontiers of Growth', 'Setting Course for Smart Growth', 'Chinese Globalizers - Connecting through Corporate Global Citizenship' and 'Chinese Globalizers - Emerging Trends Brainstorming Session'.
Having participated in the World Economic Forum since 2010, Mr. Gao furthered his engagement by becoming a Mentor at this year's Meeting. Eight Mentors were selected for the Meeting.
