Trimble Partners with U.S. Sugar for Agriculture Solutions

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jan. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) announced today that it will supply information management solutions that can increase efficiencies and productivity for U.S. Sugar Corporation, one of the nation's largest fully-integrated producers of sugar cane and refined sugar.

Trimble information management and precision agriculture solutions and services assist growers throughout every step of the farming process—from land preparation to planting, nutrient and pest management to the harvesting phases of a crop cycle. The agreement with U.S. Sugar is the next step forward to apply these solutions and services to an established world agricultural market.

U.S. Sugar produces more than 750,000 tons of refined sugar per year and is one of the nation's largest privately-held agricultural firms. Trimble will supply U.S. Sugar solutions that will enable better decision making across the company's entire operations through integrated management and information exchange.
