Trimble Launches Mobile Builder for Forestry
New Platform Enables Forestry Clients to Take Business Processes and Data into the Field Quickly
SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) introduced today Mobile Builder, a new platform that enables forestry clients to quickly create and deploy customized forms to field workers. The solution provides companies a cost-effective method for field personnel to access enterprise data, update data in the field and synchronize the data back to the office in real time on iOS, Android and Windows Embedded mobile devices.
Mobile Builder enables companies to mobilize existing workflows while retaining business rules already in place through the use of two components:
- A mobile cloud service used to quickly configure and deploy forms. The service supports the synchronization of any number of client-specific forms for managing assets. It also offers the flexibility to build and deploy spatial or non-spatial applications that match business requirements.
- A mobile client to capture, view and synchronize field data back to the cloud service for access via the Trimble Forestry Mobile website or through integration with enterprise solutions.
"Mobile Builder is an ideal solution for organizations that are ready to make the transition from paper tracking to mobile data capture," said Brian Holley, mobile solutions sales manager for Trimble's Forestry Division.
Whether the requirement is a field inspection, survey or audit, Mobile Builder is configured to support simple or complicated business processes that are better managed on the go.
Availability
Mobile Builder is available as a standalone solution or it can be integrated with Trimble's forestry enterprise solution, a key component of Trimble's Connected Forest. Custom integrations are also available for clients who want to host their own data.
