Trimble Integrates its Field Service Management Suite and Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Time & Material Billing Software to Boost Productivity
Integrated Work Process Solutions Allow MEP Service Contractors to Efficiently Manage Their Mobile Service Workforce
CHICAGO, Sept. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) announced today the integration of Trimble's mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) module for service work order management and billing with Trimble Field Service Management (FSM) solutions. The integration provides MEP service contractors with the ability to efficiently and accurately manage their service business from the initial quote and work order to mobile workforce scheduling and invoicing, leading to improved billing and customer satisfaction.
The announcement was made at the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Annual Convention and Tradeshow.
The modern service contractor requires more than just a tool to track vehicle location and work orders. With the integration of Trimble® Accubid Time & Material Billing and the Trimble Field Service Management solution set, MEP service contractors now have a truly integrated work process. Time & Material Billing already allows service contractors to easily manage quotes, work orders and billing. With this new integration, the entire service workflow is managed from quote to job completion. The Trimble Field Service Management suite includes Work Management, a cloud-based software that enhances the productivity of mobile workforces through intelligent scheduling tools, mobile apps and state-of-the-art performance analytics. These combined solutions provide organizations with a complete set of tools to enable field service excellence that is delivered from the start of the service request to the end.
"The MEP service contractor today faces many challenges when it comes to meeting customer service level agreements, ensuring high first-time fix rate and getting the most investment for their mobile technicians," said Pat Bohle, general manager of Trimble's MEP Division. "By integrating these two solutions, Trimble allows the service contractor to take their business to the next level, allowing them to meet the continuing challenges of operating a service company in today's on-demand world."
