Trimble and PressurePro Sign Exclusive OEM and Distribution Agreement for Integrated VisionLink and TPMS Solution
Advanced Tire Pressure Monitoring Solution Combined with the Powerful VisionLink Fleet, Asset and Site Management Solution Provides Enhanced Commercial Vehicle and Heavy Equipment Management Capabilities
LAS VEGAS, Nov. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) and Advantage PressurePro announced today that they have signed an exclusive OEM and distribution agreement for integrated Tire Pressure Monitoring Solutions (TPMS) for the construction market. Under the agreement, Advantage PressurePro will provide Trimble with a product based upon its PressurePro TPMS platform. Trimble will leverage the information from the PressurePro TPMS in its VisionLink integrated fleet, asset and site productivity management solution for construction contractors as well as other Trimble commercial vehicle fleet management solutions.
The announcement was made at Trimble Dimensions 2012.
PressurePro's TPMS Sensors provide operators and fleet managers with real-time tire pressure reports and information, as well as alerts to low and high pressure and temperature events. Reporting this data in VisionLink™ from Trimble provides equipment and fleet managers with the real-time knowledge needed to extend tire life, increase fuel efficiency, decrease downtime, improve operator and driver safety and better plan commercial vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance.
Efficient fleet management and optimization of onsite production activities can be significantly impacted by the state of the tires on commercial vehicles and heavy machines. PressurePro sensors continuously monitor tires and instantly flag incorrect pressurization or excessive overheating events, allowing an equipment manager or site supervisor to make timely fleet maintenance decisions. Correct pressurization of the tires reduces fuel consumption and the associated carbon footprint of a commercial vehicle or heavy machine. In addition, early alerts relating to incorrect pressurization or overheating can reduce costly tire damage and improve operator and site personnel safety.
"PressurePro is proud to partner with Trimble to integrate our market leading Tire Pressure Monitoring technologies into Trimble's portfolio of heavy civil construction solutions," said Phillip Zaroor, president and CEO of PressurePro.
"The addition of PressurePro TPMS sensors to VisionLink, our fleet, asset and site productivity management solution allows Trimble to offer contractors the ability to better manage their fleets and realize greater efficiencies and savings than before," said Bryn Fosburgh, vice president of Trimble.
PressurePro TPMS sensors integrated with VisionLink from Trimble will be available through Trimble's global network of SITECH® technology dealers.
