REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Trilliant, a global smart communications leader for smart grid and smart city today announced that Head of Global Corporate Marketing, Sonita Lontoh, will participate in the 2015 World Economic Forum on East Asia taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia, April 19-21. President Joko Widodo of Indonesia will give the keynote address.
Lontoh will speak at a working session titled "Energy Reforms for Sustained Growth." The drop in global oil prices, combined with investment needs and fast technology innovation, has opened an historic window for reforms. Many countries in the East Asia region have started reforming their energy policies which can have important effects on proper functioning of energy markets, on energy efficiency and on the ability to attract investments. Building on insights from the World Economic Forum's Global Energy Performance Index, this session will explore how to create effective energy reforms, with a particular emphasis on Indonesia.
