Tribune Names Nancy Meyer Publisher of Hartford Courant
Accomplished Publishing Executive Served as Chief Revenue Officer for CT1 Media
CHICAGO, Nov. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Tribune Company today promoted experienced publishing executive Nancy Meyer to the position of Publisher of the Hartford Courant, effective immediately. Meyer joined The Courant in 2006 and since June has served as the Chief Revenue Officer for CT1 Media, overseeing all business-to-business revenue-generating activities for The Courant and Tribune's two Hartford television stations. In her new role, Meyer will be responsible for strategy, development, and day-to-day operations at The Courant. She will report to Tribune Publishing CEO Tony Hunter and begin her new duties immediately.

Meyer started her career with Gannett, where she held a variety of executive positions of increasing responsibility in advertising. She spent nine years with Hearst Newspapers as classified print and online sales director with the San Francisco Chronicle and sfgate.com, and as display advertising director with the Times Union in Albany, NY. She joined The Courant as Vice President of Advertising, Strategy and Targeted Media in 2006.

Meyer succeeds Rich Graziano who was recently named as President/General Manager of WPIX-TV, Tribune's television station in New York City. Graziano will continue overseeing the company's Hartford television stations, WTIC-TV and WCCT-TV, until a new general manager is appointed.
