Tribune Media Names IT Veteran David Ulmer as Chief Technology Officer
CHICAGO, July 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Tribune Media (NYSE: TRCO) today announced the appointment of David Ulmer as chief technology officer, responsible for the development and execution of the company's strategy for information technology and for overseeing the management of its technology systems and infrastructure. Ulmer, who has been serving as the company's interim-CTO since late June, will continue reporting to the company's Chief Financial Officer, Chandler Bigelow.

Prior to joining Tribune Media, Ulmer held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility for Sotheby's, where he served as Chief Technology and Strategy Officer for more than a dozen years. While at Sotheby's, Ulmer led the development of the company's overall strategic planning process and chaired the Information Technology Steering Committee, responsible for Sotheby's day-to-day operations and long-term strategic plan for IT. Before joining Sotheby's in 1997, Ulmer held a series of positions in information technology and systems management with Numetrix, Pillsbury/Haagen-Dazs, and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
