During the Salesforce Higher Education Summit, hosted in San Diego, CA on Tuesday, April 16th, Kranthi represented ITU and won second place for the Dave Perry Overall Excellence in Innovation award. According to Salesforce.org, the award "recognizes a college or university that is using Salesforce to fuel innovation in recruiting, student success, advancement, marketing, community and/or engagement." Kranthi is an advocate for the oversight of cybersecurity in schools & universities citing the need to protect student records and academic data. Kranthi Lammatha, CCIE Certified, designed a hardware-based IT security API that consolidates information from fifteen disparate databases helping to facilitate accessibility of real time student information while ensuring cyber security of sensitive data.

A migrant from Hyderabad, India, Kranthi earned his MS in Computer Science from ITU in 2009. He has contributed to tech teams at Sony as an IT Engineer and Cisco as a Security Architect, becoming a Cisco certified Cybersecurity Internet Expert at 21 in 2012 - the youngest at the time to attempt this achievement. Mr. Lammantha's other recognitions include the 2018 IAAA's Innovative Dedicated Professional Engineer, 2017 Business Journal's Top Tech Leaders 40 Under 40, and 2018 Higher Education AACRAO. Kranthi is also a member of several organizations, including AACRAO, IEEE's Young Professionals, Computer Society, APRA, Professional Commitment to the Advancement of Technology, and the Blockchain Council.
His work and advocacy for grander security measures in universities and schools was commended by Harvard, and Yale. Kranthi Lammantha continues to be a trailblazer at the tech forefront of higher education.
