Trend Micro's Annual Give and Match Program Raises Thousands for Global Communities
DALLAS, Nov. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Trend Micro Incorporated (TYO: 4704; TSE: 4704), a global leader in security software, today announced it has donated more than $87,000 to communities around the world through its annual Give and Match Program. The program encourages employees to become involved in supporting communities in need with the incentive that Trend Micro will match each such donation. Approximately 450 Trend Micro employees around the world donated to the Give and Match program this year.

During the annual three-week period, the Give and Match program provides Trend Micro employees the opportunity to extend their generosity and charitable spirit beyond their community to contribute to global efforts in creating a better future for their region and all around the world.
Trend Micro employees raised $44,364 and together with the company's matching contribution of $43,244, the Give and Match Program this year generated a contribution total of $87,608.
Four organizations received Trend Micro North American contributions, including:
- Crutches4Africa is an organization which collects and distributes crutches, canes, walkers and wheelchairs to those in need who are unable to walk. To date they have collected more than 58,000 crutches, canes, walkers and wheelchairs, which have been distributed to different areas of Africa.
- Botswana School Project is a non-profit organization that collects books, school supplies and computers and distributes them in schools in northern Botswana, Africa.
- Kidd's Kids' primary goal is to provide children, ages 5 to 12, who have a chronic or terminal illness or are physically challenged, with an unforgettable adventure. Throughout the year, they work to raise the funds necessary to send these special kids on an all-expenses paid, fun-filled vacation to Walt Disney World® in Florida.
- Candlelighters is non-profit volunteer organization that provides programs and services for kids being treated for cancer in eastern Ontario and to those on whom they depend for strength and support.
