Trend Micro Supports North Texas Schools with Employee Volunteer Day and Donation
Event marks the company's second-annual "Building a Future" service project
DALLAS, Jan. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Trend Micro Incorporated (TYO: 4704; TSE: 4704), a global leader in security software, today announced more than 400 employees will be volunteering their time, resources and services to benefit five schools in the Dallas Independent School District located in the southern region of the city.
The company will provide schools with donations to purchase new books and supplies for pre-K through eighth-grade students. The volunteer group will also work to beautify campus amenities.

Volunteers will be completing campus improvement projects at five DISD campuses. Projects include assembling benches and picnic tables for outdoor areas; cleaning flower beds and raking leaves; shelving books in libraries; and assembling book cases for school reading centers. In addition to their on-site efforts, Trend Micro will be making a $25,000 contribution to DISD, to be divided among the following five schools:
- Stevens Park Elementary School
- Quintanilla Middle School
- Dallas Environmental Science Academy
- George Washington Carver Elementary School
- C.F. Carr Elementary

Today's volunteer event marks the second year of Trend Micro's "Building a Future" service project, designed to bring Trend Micro employees together to serve the community.
