BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Mobile World Congress -- Trend Micro, Inc. As Gold Sponsor, Trend Micro will host a Mobile Security Forum at the event, which will focus on advising businesses on Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and Consumerization.  New research will be presented with a US/UK/German IT Executive and CEO Survey on trends and perceptions in mobile consumerization. Trend Micro will also debut a new mobile application later in the week.

Consumerization refers to the use of consumer technology in the enterprise.  This is already happening - businesses are powerless to stop it. The most notable example of this is the multitude of private mobile devices used by Executives and employees to access corporate networks and data –BYOD.
