Treasure Hunt Ticket Worth $120,000 Sold In Philadelphia
MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Jan. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- One jackpot-winning Treasure Hunt ticket worth $120,000 from the Wednesday, January 11, drawing was sold at Wawa, 3341 Grant Ave., Philadelphia.
The ticket correctly matched all five balls, 01-13-22-25-29, to win a jackpot of $120,000, less applicable tax withholding. The retailer earns a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Prizes must be claimed and tickets validated before winners can be identified. Treasure Hunt winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.
The holder of the winning ticket should sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of the Lottery's seven area offices. Claims may be filed at headquarters Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at area offices.
In addition to paying more than $310.9 million in prizes to winners in Philadelphia County during the 2015-16 fiscal year, the Lottery provided more than $273.6 million to benefit older residents.
How to play Treasure Hunt: Players pay $1 and select five numbers from 1 to 30. Players may select their own numbers or opt for computer-selected quick picks. Players must match all five numbers drawn to win the jackpot. Players also win prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers. A day game, Treasure Hunt is drawn seven days a week and tickets can be purchased up to seven draws (one week) in advance. Ticket sales end at 1:05 p.m. each day. Chances of winning the jackpot prize are 1 in 142,506; the overall chances of winning any prize are about 1 in 5.45.
