TRC's Paper Recycling Workshop at Union University
Event aims to offer tools to enhance paper recycling knowledge, provide solutions
MEMPHIS, Tenn., April 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Tennessee Recycling Coalition (TRC), in collaboration with the Southeast Recycling Development Council, will conduct a paper recycling workshop on Wednesday, May 4 at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee from 9am-2pm CDT. This workshop, along with three others to be held around the state, is sponsored by International Paper.
The workshop will focus on paper recovery and highlight the economic impact of recycling in Tennessee and the Southeast. Attendees will gain a greater knowledge about processing, markets and grading of paper as well as obstacles and solutions that recyclers constantly face. Anyone interested in paper recycling is encouraged to attend, including those interested in starting a paper recycling program.
The workshop will include presentations from recycling industry representatives as well as a tour of a local paper recycling facility. Also, Coca-Cola Recycling will provide some information on plastic recycling. This workshop is free to members of TRC and the price for non-members is only $15, which includes lunch during the workshop and a one year TRC membership.
