Travis Vallin Joins Jviation

DENVER, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Travis Vallin has joined Jviation as Vice President/Senior Program Manager, based in the Denver office.

Vallin has 18 years of experience managing complex aviation programs. Previously with the Colorado Department of Transportation Aeronautics Division, where he was named to the Aeronautics Director's position in 1998, Vallin served as the point of contact for the Governor, State Legislature and Colorado Department of Transportation on all aviation issues throughout the State. In his role as State Aviation Director, he worked with many diverse constituency groups to reach consensus on aviation issues impacting Colorado. His expertise in understanding complex airspace issues, gained from working on collaborative projects such as The Colorado Surveillance Project (which added wide area multilateration (WAM) as a tool to keep airplanes safer in the skies above the challenging mountain terrain), and knowledge of the FAA's NextGen and emerging radar technologies is a key asset to both Jviation and the aviation community. With his extensive experience and visionary leadership, Travis will continue to have a strong impact on the local and national aviation landscape.

Vallin is actively involved in the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO), serving as Chair from 2006-2008. He has also served as Chairman of the Center of Aviation Research and Education, and is a member of the NASAO Legislative and Air Service Committee. He is a licensed Private Pilot, FAA Certified Airport Safety Inspector, and an FAA Certified Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF).
