Travelers seeking to travel for the holiday weekend only, departing Friday, May 24 and returning Monday, May 27, can expect to spend an average of $350 for a round trip domestic flight.

When to Book Memorial Day Travel and Additional Savings Tips
Travelers should book their Memorial Day trips as soon as possible now that we are in April. According to our Booking Barometer, which is based on three years of historic data, prices typically drop at the beginning of April and steadily increase each week, with the most significant price increases happening the week of April 22 (averaging $10) and the week of May 19 (averaging $23). Prices will jump an average of $26 the week of Memorial Day.
