Travelmatch: Brits Book Early as 2012 All Inclusive Holidays Heat Up
Travelmatch has found that British travellers are already booking their all inclusive holidays for 2012; the online travel specialist says that people are booking early to take advantage of significant discounts, and that the trend points to the continued growth of the all inclusive market.
LONDON, May 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Online travel specialist Travelmatch has found that its British customers are booking all inclusive holidays especially early this year, with many already making arrangements for 2012. The company observed that people have begun searching for next year's trips a full two months earlier than last year.
According to Travelmatch this trend owes to the savings available to people booking early; 2012 holidays to the Greek Islands, Spain and other warm destinations can now be purchased at significant discounts.
travelmatch.co.uk has also observed a significant increase in the number of Brits interested in all inclusive packages – 25 per cent of people looking for 2012 holidays searched for such trips. This figure is significantly higher than the same period last year. Independent research also attests to the popularity of all inclusive trips: GfK Ascent, a research company, found that these packages account for 37 per cent of the UK travel market.
Alex Francis of Travelmatch comments: "In the past few months we have seen a marked increase in the number of people looking to book their trips well ahead of time. This makes sense as many households are tight on money and it is a very good idea to book all inclusive holidays for 2012 now when the rates are low."
Francis concludes that all inclusive holidays are becoming much more popular thanks to their affordability. He states: "People are increasingly opting to book all inclusive packages; this is also related to savings as these trips are significantly cheaper than other options. This is leading to some interesting changes in the market as companies like First Choice opt to only offer all inclusive holidays. Clearly British tourists are drawn to this type of trip, given the savings available this is no great surprise."
