Travelers Prefer Itemized Fees According to GO Airport Express
CHICAGO, Jan. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- How do travelers feel about extra fees for checked bags and snacks? According to a survey conducted by GO Airport Express, a Chicago-based ground transportation provider, a small majority (54%) prefer itemized fees, while 46% prefer all services to be included in the overall ticket price.
The company, which provides airport shuttles to and from O'Hare and Midway airports, polled travelers nationwide: more than 750 people participated.
"I think the survey tells us that most travelers want to know exactly how much it costs for each service and they want choices so they are the ones in control of what they are purchasing and how much they are spending," says John McCarthy, president, GO Airport Express.
GO Airport Express, one of the oldest companies in Chicago, traces its founding to 1853 and the Parmelee Transportation Company, which provided a carriage service between Chicago's railroad stations and the downtown hotels. The GO Group LLC, is the nation's largest airport transportation provider, serving some 60 airports in North America, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe and transporting more than 13 million passengers per year.
