Travel Advantage Network NAILS It for United Way

MILLERSVILLE, Md., June 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Travel Advantage Network, a vacation accommodations program, dedicated its charitable fundraising efforts for the month of May to NAILS, a United Way mission project in Cumberland, Maryland. Each month, a Travel Advantage Network employee chooses a charity for the company to support and comes up with creative activities to help raise funds for that cause.

Throughout the month of May, all employees were given the opportunity to buy a nail and have their name written on it for only one dollar. The nails will be used in the September rebuild trip to Cumberland, Maryland.

"I Chose NAILS because I have had the opportunity to work with them for the past two years through my church. They lost a pretty significant grant this year, and I wanted to help however I could," said Sara Clauss, Travel Advantage Network Client Services Coordinator, who chose this month's charity.

Over $800 was raised during May through various fundraising efforts such as nail sales, pay-to-wear jeans day and a special catered lunch with all profits going to the charity.
