Ellen R. Moore appointed COO to position company for growth
MILLERSVILLE, Md., Jan. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Travel Advantage Network, a vacation accommodations program, has appointed Ellen R. Moore the company's Chief Operating Officer in a strategic hire for the business. Moore will be responsible for driving overall operational efficiency, positioning the company for growth, increasing profitability and delivering a high-quality service model to the company's 83,000+ travelers.
Moore has successfully led teams through strategic change toward more operational structure and innovative approaches to business practices. In her most recent role as CEO at Carton Donofrio Partners, Moore increased profitability, prevailed in transitioning the firm to the digital marketplace, and efficiently reorganized to focus the firm on key performance metrics. During her time at W.L. Gore and Associates, Moore was responsible for creating structure and implementing processes to new product launches in the global marketplace.
"I am thrilled to be a part of an organization that does something as noble as helping to make travel possible for middle income families. I was also delighted to learn that our travelers give us a 4.2 rating out of 5 on overall customer satisfaction. My goal is to continue to make changes that will enhance the traveler experience, improve overall operations and move the company toward its long-term vision," explained Moore.
Travel has been a part of Moore's DNA since she was young, and led her to backpack around the world visiting 18 countries on six continents. Moore's passion for travel has also influenced her professional career having worked for such companies as GORE-TEX, the world's leading manufacturer of waterproof/breathable outerwear and footwear, HarborMagic Hotels, Visit Baltimore, and 180's, an outdoor apparel company.
"As we continue to grow, it was important to find the right person to bring structure and operational efficiency to the company," stated Brad Callahan, President and CEO, Travel Advantage Network. "With a proven track record for preparing and guiding companies toward expansion, Ellen was the logical choice."
Moore holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Science in Psychology from Capella University.
