Trapeze Networks Recognized by Wi-Fi Alliance(R)

PLEASANTON, Calif., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Trapeze Networks, a Belden brand (NYSE: BDC) today announced it has won a Wi-Fi Alliance 2009 Outstanding Leadership and Contribution award.  The Wi-Fi Alliance is an international non-profit organization with global marketing, technology and advocacy programs for Wi-Fi.  Each year, the organization recognizes those member companies that have demonstrated exceptional participation in its various program development and certification activities.

Trapeze Engineering Leads the Way

Trapeze received the 2009 Outstanding Leadership and Contribution award because of its extraordinary contribution to the wireless industry through leadership in Wi-Fi Alliance projects. Trapeze Networks leads two task groups for the Wi-Fi Alliance.  As leader of the Wireless Network Management marketing task group, Trapeze is driving the investigation of certification requirements for power saving, location and timing services, and performance optimization.  Trapeze also chairs the Security Technical task group, which defines tests to support Wi-Fi Protected Access® (WPA2) security requirements for Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ products.
