HORSHAM, Pa., March 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Transworld Systems Inc. (TSI), a leading provider of technology-enabled business process outsourcing and accounts receivable management solutions, announced today the appointment of Joseph Laughlin as CEO, effective March 2, 2015.
Most recently Mr. Laughlin was a senior advisor to Flexpoint Ford LLC, a private equity investment firm specializing in financial services and healthcare. "Joe is a talented and innovative executive with valuable expertise in banking, financial technology and payment systems," said Bryan Kelln, president of portfolio operations for Platinum Equity. Prior to Flexpoint Ford, Mr. Laughlin served as Chief Operating Officer and was a Member of the Management Board of Bawag P.S.K. Bank in Vienna, Austria. Before Bawag, Mr. Laughlin was the founder and CEO of Global NetXchange LLC, a business-to-business exchange providing technology solutions to the global retail industry. He also previously served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance and Business Development at Sears Roebuck and Co. where he was responsible for banking operations, corporate finance, treasury, business development and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Laughlin began his banking career at Wells Fargo & Co., serving in various capacities including: Senior Vice President of In-store Retail Banking; Senior Vice President and Director of Strategic Planning; Bank-wide Integration Director and Vice President for Credit Administration.
Mr. Laughlin also has experience as a banking regulator, having worked on the United States savings and loan bailout as a Special Assistant in the Director's Office for the Office of Thrift Supervision.
Mr. Laughlin earned a bachelor's degree in economics and finance from The Catholic University of America and a master's degree in business administration in finance and investments from George Washington University. He also holds a graduate degree in banking from the American Bankers Association's Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
