BOCA RATON, Fla., Dec. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Former Miami Police Sergeant and Magic City native, Frederica Burden, retained TransMedia Group to arrest media attention for her latest book, "Miami Beat II: Dilemmas."
"I went with TransMedia after a colleague suggested the PR firm could enhance my brand and grow my media footprint," said the former police sergeant, established author and mother of three.
TransMedia said its publicity will highlight Burden's frequent public speaking on such topics as corporate diversity, inclusiveness, self-empowerment, adult bullying and pursuing your passion after 40.
TransMedia Group said publicity will focus on the sequel to her first book Miami Beat: The Secret Society that's now out, titled Miami Beat II: Dilemmas.
"In her sequel, Burden brings to light such crucial topics in her fictional works as domestic violence, alcoholism and police brutality that transpire in any metropolis," said TransMedia CEO Tom Madden, himself an author of such books as SPIN MAN and King of the Condo.
Burden's first book, "Miami Beat: The Secret Society" spurred considerable controversy and interest in the film industry, said Madden, who was a TV programmer at NBC and ABC.
"With Frederica's background and years of experience in law enforcement, I'm excited to arrange for her to speak at community events, universities and other venues, which will be part of her latest book promotion," said Odra Dorante, Multilingual Communications Specialist at TransMedia Group.
"My initiatives also will include follow ups with my contacts in the TV sector as I feel her works would make a great TV series and could easily develop into an independent podcast."
TransMedia said it will broaden Burden's target audience by hosting author signings and booking her as guest speaker at exclusive events in Palm Beach and Miami Dade counties, plus arranging national TV appearances and interviews with national publications.
The award-winning PR firm serves clients worldwide from offices in Florida and in Rome, Italy.
