TransMedia Group to Publicize First Cryonics Facility on East Coast Where 'Residents' Stay Perfectly Preserved In Miami Awaiting Return To Life Decades Later
MIAMI, Aug. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- To the phantasmagoria of things to do in Miami . . . watching Dolphins romp, models saunter by in glaring bikinis . . . rollerbladers gliding down Ocean Drive . . . touring Art Basel or sipping fruity cocktails in luxurious lobbies . . . comes yet another activity, or rather inactivity—the ultimate suspended animation.
And TransMedia Group was retained by Osiris Back To Life, LLC (www.osiriscryonics.com) to bring the first cryonics facility on the East Coast vividly to life in the Magic City this October. Currently there are only two cryonics facilities in the U.S. located in Arizona and Michigan.
Cryonics is the process of cooling patients down to the level where all physical decay stops and storing them in large vacuum-insulated capsules filled with liquid nitrogen until potential technology can bring them back to life, said Tom Madden, TransMedia's often media-psychic CEO (www.transmediagroup.com).
"Our client, Osiris Back To Life, LLC, wants us to alert the public that their state-of-the-art cryonics facility will be operating in October in Miami, but they are starting to accept 'memberships' from individuals for $295,000, payable now or from proceeds from sale of their home upon their death or through life insurance," Madden continued. Membership entitles person to have their bodies cryogenically frozen immediately as possible upon their death. Members' bodies will be kept frozen for unlimited time until they are revived in the future with no extra monthly or annual cost.
TransMedia said its publicity also will illumine how members also can include packages to have their beloved pets frozen along with them, as well as having their organs available to family members if future health situations warrant.
"Cryonics is that exciting life-extending branch of physics dealing with the production and effects of very low temperatures on substances and even living beings, while a phenomenon called cryogenic sleep could soon even bring astronauts to Mars," said Madden.
"We believe this is a story that will only grow in importance as future medical discoveries include cures for today's major causes of death."
