TransMedia Group to Promote Having Your Cake, But Not Eating It Too, A Calorie-Expulsion Protocol Explained At www.DessertsCureObesity.com
BOCA RATON, Fla., Dec. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Attention dieters: DessertsCureObesity.com has retained TransMedia Group to persuade you to do with desserts what connoisseurs do with wine at tastings, savor without swallowing.
Yes, you can swish and swirl the delectable flavors around your mouth, but instead of swallowing, discretely discard the deleterious calories. The sugar in creamy desserts may make the medicine go down, but can also make you fat.
TransMedia (www.transmediagroup.com) said its publicity will show consumers how they can have their cake without eating it too. It's all explained at www.DessertsCureObesity.com.
"We will show how dieters can confine that sliver of delicious pumpkin pie or spoonful of luscious rich ice cream to just their mouth," said TransMedia publicist Alexandra Flugel, who is creating a Facebook page for Desserts Cure Obesity and will be posting "sweet tweets" on Twitter.
"You can swish, swirl or suck on a dessert as if pulling it through a straw, but just don't swallow it," she said.
"Ignore stares of those around you as this simply aerates the food and pleases the palate by circulating sweetness throughout your mouth, since sweets are mouth foods as opposed to stomach foods," said protocol developer Charles Weiss, who bases his protocol on science.
The 89-year-old slim and fit resident of Century Village has created the www.DessertsCureObesity.com website and protocol in an altruistic desire to spread the message that "you don't have to swallow desserts to enjoy them and then pay the heavy price of obesity."
"I'm not looking to make money or sell a product," he said. "I just want to help people to avoid obesity and live a longer, healthier life."
TransMedia said it will create a social media campaign to convince dieters to adopt Weiss's protocol of using desserts in a way they were primarily created for—to engage and titillate taste buds in the mouth.
"After you've given your mouth a luxurious treat, instead of swallowing and taking in all the calories, just like the wine taster, you can discretely discard them," said Weiss. "You can enjoy desserts without paying the price of so many fattening calories."
TransMedia said its campaign will underscore how more than a third of Americans are obese, more than twice the proportion of 40 years ago.
