TransMedia Group To Play Publicity Role in Increasing Global Participation and Funding in The Palm Beach International Film Festival
PALM BEACH, Fla., Feb. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- TransMedia Group said it was retained to build upon and expand globally the already illustrious reputation of one the country's leading film festivals, The Palm Beach International Film Festival (www.pbifilmfest.org).
"As Palm Beach is the crème de la crème destination and home base for some of the world's wealthiest individuals, the elite international film festival bearing its prestigious name has earned and is deserving of even more worldwide publicity," said TransMedia CEO Tom Madden (www.transmediagroup.com).
"Our publicity will highlight how The Palm Beach International Film Festival (PBIFF) has received a record number of film submissions and is now operating out of its own newly-renovated theater and other world-class venues in and around the tony Palm Beach resort," Madden said, "This heady exposure that we intend to generate internationally will include Dubai and other opulent areas in the UAE and other parts of the world where emerging artistic communities are expanding their involvement in the movie business," said Madden.
Madden is no newcomer to the film business as he has promoted many films and festivals throughout the world, including such made-for-television epics as SHOGUN while he was Vice President of PR and Programming at NBC and many other films exhibited at the Canne Film Festival in the South of France and other major film centers.
According to Madden, TransMedia's publicity also will be primarily designed to increase international participation in the 21st Palm Beach International Film Festival, April 6-14 at several venues in and around Palm Beach, including Muvico Parisian in West Palm Beach and Cinemark Palace in Boca Raton and the Palm Beaches Theatre in Manalapan, formerly the Plaza. Jeff Davis, President and CEO of PBIFF has converted into a multi-use theatrical theater for movies, live performance, concerts, lectures, charitable events and of course, his world-famous international film festival.
"Along the way we intend to promote such upcoming PBIFF events as a presentation of "My Son the Waiter," A Jewish Tragedy that started Thursday, Feb. 4 thru Sunday, March 27; "A Walk On The Red Carpet" Celebrity Chef Dinner & Movie at Swank Speciality Product, Sunday, February 28th and other events and activities." "It's a distinct honor for us to represent such an outstanding organization as The Palm Beach International Film Festival," Madden added.
