TransMedia Group Gives Trump's Oval Office 'Welcome to the Family' an A; Pelosi's 'non-starter' Response an F
BOCA RATON, Fla., Jan. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The PR firm TransMedia Group gave President Trump an A for conducting U.S. citizenship swearing-in ceremony in the Oval Office, where he welcomed immigrants into "the family called America."
"Too bad we're not a more united, happier family," said TransMedia CEO Tom Madden.
Fine tuning the event, TransMedia would have given the President and Secretary Nielsen an A+ had there been at least one immigrant a tad less educated, college-degree'd, professionally accomplished and successful.
Madden says he would have advised the President to have at least one of the new citizens resemble more the average caravan immigrant seeking asylum here who's hardly a Harvard graduate.
Wouldn't this have shown he's also on the side of people less fortunate, less accomplished, even less education, but still determined to improve their lives and their families' future?
"But kudos! Strategically, it was a perfect prelude to his offering Democrats a multi-pronged deal to end the shutdown," said Madden.
Unfortunately Secretary Pelosi immediately shot it down as a "non-starter," for which as a negotiator, I'd give her an F.
"Sorry, my dear Democrat friends, but negotiations have to start somewhere," he said.
"Someone needs to tear down this wall dividing Democrats and Republicans. Where are you, Mr. Gorbachev? No, that would be colluding."
According to Madden, if Secretary Pelosi continues to refuse to even negotiate the President's wall proposal, this is how history might remember her negotiating strategy.
TOP TEN PELOSI NEGOTIATING POINTS
- Always begin negotiating by saying you won't pay even a dollar.
- Never sit down with or talk directly to whom you're negotiating.
- Best to leave the country, fly away somewhere distant as possible.
- Tell your opponent he's immature and what he wants is immoral.
- Pay no mind to thousands of others depending on a successful outcome.
- Keep thinking it's YOU who has to win, only YOU and no one else.
- Portray yourself as saintly GOOD and your opponent as selfishly EVIL.
- Don't give an inch, a centimeter; keep saying "that's a non-starter."
- Demean and insult your opponent vocally often as possible.
- Cast him as willfully impractical and-off-the-charts crazy.
