From the Heart of CES, See How Emerging Technologies Reshape the K-20 Learning Experience
NEW YORK, Oct. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Want to know which technologies are disruptive in education? CES® 2016 offers a chance to see more than 20,000 new products. Which ones will effect education? The powers of technology that are changing the way educators teach and supporting the way students learn is the focus of the TransformingEDU Summit, a Living in Digital Times production at CES. The summit is scheduled for Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Venetian, Level 4, Lando 4301.
With an emphasis on the tools of the digital age including augmented reality, MOCCs (massively online computing classes), maker tools, 3D printers, tablets and mobile devices, TransformingEDU is the only K-20 event bringing together the developers, users, innovators and leaders in education technology. The Summit and four-day exhibit focus on the emerging technologies impacting K-20 education for students, educators, administrators and parents from preschool through college and through lifelong learning. The future of classrooms and the latest products in education technology can be seen at the Education & Technology Marketplace starting Wednesday, January 6 at CES Tech West within the Sands Expo in Las Vegas.
"Our conference is created for decision makers who are looking at the impact technology has had on the classroom, and while looking at the long-term implications for the economy and global workforce. Talking about tech's influence on education at the most influential powerful tech show in the world is what makes this such a unique experience," stated Kerry Goldstein, producer of TransformingEDU. "For one day we can witness the up-and-coming trends in developing and commercializing new technologies to enhance education."
"What is exciting is that right now we can harness technology to improve K-20 education that is transforming the way one learns and forcing us to think in ways once unimaginable," stated Robin Raskin, founder and president of Living in Digital Times. "The disruption of the multi-billion dollar industry of education and its impact will be explored at the TransformingEDU Leadership Summit and will reveal new insights on how to create lasting change."
TransformingEDU speakers represent thought leaders, educators and innovators who will discuss how technology is moving students toward educational and career success. The speaker lineup includes executives from Noodle, LEGO Education, Adobe, Cengage Learning, Xavier University, University Innovation Alliance, Daqri, Filament Games and others.
