The arrangement was finalized in July 2013, and mid-October marks Great Western's full transition to TransFirst.

After a lengthy vendor and proposal evaluation process, Great Western Bank selected TransFirst over many competitors, including the incumbent processor, as the Bank's merchant services program provider. Under the agreement, TransFirst will deploy sales resources in the Bank's primary markets of Omaha/Council Bluffs and Lincoln, NE; Denver/Boulder, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Des Moines, IA and Sioux Falls, SD. A TransFirst telesales team will support branches outside these markets. In the future, Great Western Bank will also utilize TransFirst to launch a comprehensive quarterly cross-sales campaign with the Bank's existing commercial clients currently accepting cards through other merchant processors.
