Transamerica Institute Announces "Getting Ready to Retire"
Special One-Hour Edition of ClearPath - Your Roadmap to Health & Wealth on WYPR 88.1 FM
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ten thousand Baby Boomers are turning 65 every day in the United States and have either entered retirement or are preparing to do so. A special one-hour edition of ClearPath – Your Roadmap to Health & Wealth will offer unique insights and clear-cut advice about Medicare and Social Security benefits: Sunday, January 25 at 7 p.m. EST on WYPR (88.1 FM), Baltimore's NPR news station.
Most Baby Boomers will be relying on Social Security and Medicare benefits in retirement, yet relatively few are aware of the wide range of choices that can positively or negatively affect their level of long-term benefits. A recent study of Baby Boomer workers conducted by Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies® found that just 17 percent of Baby Boomers know "a great deal" about Social Security benefits and, even fewer, 13 percent know "a great deal" about Medicare benefits.
In addition to regular program hosts Greg Tucker, Catherine Collinson (President of the Transamerica Institute®), and Hector De La Torre (Executive Director of the Transamerica Center for Health Studiessm), special guest experts Mary Beth Franklin and Nicole Duritz will share their expertise on Social Security and Medicare.
