Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc. Names New CEO And New President

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc. (TFA) announced today that Seth Miller, President, has been named CEO. George Chuang, Managing Director of TFA's Registered Investment Advisor, has been promoted to President.

"Promoting from within demonstrates the bench strength of the TFA organization and recognizes the talent and expertise we have in Seth and George. With George taking over day-to-day management of TFA, Seth will be freed up for an expanded role within the Life & Protection organization."

Miller has been with Transamerica for 15 years and has served as TFA's president since 2009. He oversaw the merging of the three retail Transamerica broker-dealers, strong growth in the business and an increase in the number of advisors. Miller serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Financial Services Institute. He's a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a retired Captain, United States Air Force Reserve.

Chuang joined Transamerica in 1999 and has served in roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, as Managing Director of TFA's Registered Investment Advisor, Chuang oversaw significant growth of assets under management and launched several innovative investing programs, including the Transamerica I-Series®. Chuang is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California and undergraduate degrees in economics and biology from the University of California, Irvine.
