Traffix Participates in MultiService Forum (MSF) Testing to Ensure VoLTE Interoperability
- The MSF Interoperability Event to Include Traffix Signaling Delivery Controller to demonstrate LTE Diameter Router Solutions
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, N.J., June 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Traffix Systems, the Diameter control plane experts, will be participating in the upcoming VoLTE (Voice over LTE) Interoperability test event organized by the MultiService Forum (MSF) and backed by the GSMA, which represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, on September 12-30, 2011. The event is focused on validating the GSMA's technical recommendations for IMS-based VoLTE to set best practices for LTE deployment strategies. The Traffix Signaling Delivery Controller (SDC), a robust unified platform consolidating Diameter Gateway, Diameter Load Balancer, and Diameter Router field proven solutions, will be part of the interoperability event hosted at the Vodafone Centre for Test and Innovation located in Dusseldorf. Traffix will contribute in building and validating practical LTE network use cases such as LTE roaming and policy followed by recommendations for deployment scenarios.
"We are excited to be part of the MSF's efforts in applying the industry standards set by 3GPP to actual use cases using lessons learned in our deployments over the past few years," commented Lenny Ridel, CTO at Traffix. "Traffix has much to contribute to the LTE ecosystem given that our standards-based Diameter solutions support millions of subscribers world over."
"We're pleased to welcome Traffix to the MultiService Forum," stated Kyu-Ouk Lee, MSF President. "The knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm that Traffix brings to the MSF will make a valuable contribution to our ongoing interoperability program, and we welcome its contribution."
"The prosperous growth of the LTE ecosystem mandates fully-compliant and reliable network infrastructure as in the case of our mature Diameter Router solution that adds value such as contextually-aware analytics on top of the basic Diameter Routing Agent (DRA) requirements," Ridel added.
The MSF VoLTE Interoperability event will be hosted by Vodafone and China Mobile in the Vodafone Centre for Test and Innovation in Dusseldorf and the China Mobile Research Institute Lab in Beijing.

About VoLTE IOT Event 2011
The MSF will host the VoLTE IOT 2011 Event in the Vodafone Centre for Test and Innovation in Dusseldorf and the China Mobile Research Institute Lab in Beijing in September 2011. The event is backed by the GSMA following the launch of its global VoLTE initiative in 2010, which is supported by more than 40 leading organisations in the mobile space. The event builds on the major success of the previous Global MSF LTE Interoperability Event that took place during March 2010 and reflects the industry's drive to continue to deliver major carrier driven events that benefit all its members in their quest to keep pace with an ever faster moving industry. The MSF VoLTE Interoperability test event will focus on validating core network interfaces to ensure multi-vendor deployment strategies for LTE technology and will validate the MSF physical scenarios developed to incorporate 3GPP LTE/EPC technology and the GSMA's technical recommendations, focusing on Voice over LTE, with the support of China Mobile and Vodafone. http://www.msforum.org/interoperability/VoLTE.shtml
