Trade Fairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain Generate BD1 Million
MANAMA, Bahrain, July 30, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Five trade fairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain have brought in an estimated BD1 million worth of business during the month of July.
"These were the result of the vision and ideas of planners who have done the right thing, keeping in mind the interests of small traders," said committee chairman Jawad Al Hawaj.
100,000 visitors were recorded by the start of the final event Monday, July 25th, at Riffa Club. Since its start on July 7th this series of trade fairs has helped revitalize Bahrain's economy, reported Gulf News Daily.
"We are looking at holding such fairs regularly, possibly themed events more frequently so that we can accommodate more and more traders," said Tamkeen vice-chairman Khalid Amin.
The success of these trade fairs follows recent positive economic news in the two months since His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa lifted the State of National Safety in June.
