NEW YORK, Nov. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Tracx, the leading next generation social enterprise platform, released version 5.0 last week. With the update comes advanced capabilities and features, most notably the introduction of Sentity, Tracx's cutting edge social sentiment analysis engine.
"Sentity brings forth the next level of social media sentiment tracking and analysis," says Adi Kleiman, VP of Product at Tracx. "By defining specific keywords and phrases called 'entities,' individual terms of focus can now be tagged for sentiment each time they appear across the social media channel." Sentiment classification is no longer based on language cues across the entire post, but instead the sentiment tracking algorithm starts by looking at smaller terms of language surrounding each mention of user-defined entities. With Sentity, brands can now immediately drill into any root cause analysis for any given subject matter.
Tracx's 5.0 release pushes the social analytics industry further. Now, if an entity is mentioned multiple times within a single piece of content, each mention will receive a unique sentiment classification – positive, negative, or neutral. In addition, a fourth layer has been added to the traditional sentiment scoring system, as posts can now be identified as representing mixed sentiment. As a result of these added layers, Sentity greatly improves sentiment classification accuracy. Benefits are provided to all levels of the enterprise, from call centers and community managers, to product management, sales, HR, and the C-suite all the way up to CEOs.
To highlight the power of Sentity, a new sentiment-focused dashboard is now available in Tracx. The new dashboard includes:
- Sentiment Overview: depicts a snapshot of topic sentiment and the forces driving each sentiment category.
- Entity Discovery Engine: highlights the sentiment distribution of defined entities, and showcases suggestions of terms to add as entities for future tracking and analysis.
- Sentiment Comparison: serves as a workspace for comparing sentiment across different topics, date ranges, and demographics. Users can also compare different sentiment types across the same topic area.
Lastly, a Dictionary Editor allows users to adjust the sentiment that the social sentiment tracker associates with a given term or phrase, ultimately enhancing the platform's sentiment analysis accuracy.
"Tracx's Sentity engine redefines the way businesses analyze their market place, their products, and ongoing operational challenges across the organization and beyond," explains Yaniv Ben-Arie, COO. "Tracx will continue to innovate and develop cutting edge technologies to help organizations better manage and leverage their social data in real time."
