TrackingPoint™ Names Jason Schauble as new CEO
Decorated Combat Veteran to Lead Precision Guided Firearm Company
AUSTIN, Texas, May 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The day after delivering the first Precision Guided Firearms (PGFs) to customers, TrackingPoint announced Jason Schauble as the new Chief Executive Officer. Jason is a retired Marine who was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star with combat distinguishing device, and Purple Heart for his work with the elite Force Reconnaissance community in Iraq. He was medically retired due to wounds sustained in combat, and served in various leadership roles in Marine Special Operations Command, Freedom Group, Inc, and Remington Defense before joining TrackingPoint as President in early 2012.
"TrackingPoint's PGF technology has changed the shooting experience forever," noted TrackingPoint founder and Chairman John McHale. "It is important to us to have the company led by an experienced and credible leader to keep sustained focus on creating groundbreaking products that shooters will embrace and to grow the shooting market itself by attracting the next generation of digital natives. Jason is a proven leader with strong industry ties and the right mix of passion, intelligence, and vision to grow our brand."
TrackingPoint's groundbreaking PGF technology that puts fighter jet-style lock-and-launch technology in a rifle. First unveiled at the 2013 SHOT Show in January, the PGF system is the first of its kind that incorporates innovative optics, automatic ballistics calculation and guided fire control to create the most accurate long-range shooting system in the world.
With TrackingPoint, even a novice shooter can become an elite long-range marksman in minutes, accurately and effectively engaging targets out to 1,200 yards. In addition to precision technology that mitigates all of the most common shooting errors to ensure accuracy, the system's built in Wi-Fi and ShotView™ streaming video mobile app lets shooters share their experience with others in real time with a smartphone or tablet. The PGF's networked tracking scope also records each shot with video and audio that can be downloaded to an iPhone or Android device for sharing via social media like Facebook and Twitter or SMS and email.
"I am passionate about Precision Guided Firearms and disrupting the hunting and shooting industry," said Schauble. "I could think of no job I would want more than to lead this fantastic bunch of engineers, shooters, and scientists for years to come to make the best shooting systems available, to change the modern battlefield, and to pursue other technology objectives."
