Trace3 Names Tony Olzak as Vice President of Security Practice
Former SIGMAnet Vice President to Focus on Next-Generation Security Solutions
IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Trace3, the premier provider of IT solutions and consultation services, today announced the appointment of Tony Olzak as the company's Vice President of Security.
The appointment of industry veteran Tony Olzak to head the security practice marks the next phase of Trace3's security offering as well as advancing Trace3's comprehensive Envisioning methodology for professional services delivery to include threat protection along with cloud computing and data analytics. Trace3 Security Envisioning is a holistic, vendor-agnostic services engagement that gives clients a comprehensive security framework based on their unique risk profiles and threat vectors.
Olzak comes to Trace3 from SIGMAnet, an IT consulting and managed services provider based in Ontario, California. Most recently, Olzak served as SIGMAnet's Vice President of Advanced Technology Solutions. Before that role, he worked as SIGMAnet's Practice Director of Network Infrastructure and Security. During his career, Olzak has also served as a security consultant, a startup entrepreneur, and a book author.
"Trace3 has built and integrated security solutions for CIOs and IT buyers for more than a decade. The addition of Tony Olzak to Trace3's management team marks an inflection point for doubling down on the overall growth and vision of Trace3's security practice," said Trace3 President Chad Cardenas.
"Tony Olzak is a longtime security expert who brings nearly 20 years of deep industry experience to the Trace3 bench," Cardenas said. "The rapid digital transformation of business today is creating profound security challenges that we couldn't even imagine a few years ago. Tony's team will focus on helping customers solve those problems from the inside out, by putting next-generation security solutions at the center of all their business initiatives."
The Trace3 Security Envisioning program will combine elements of cognitive computing and machine learning to identify dangerous network patterns and anomalies and respond to them in real-time, according to Olzak. He says security can no longer be viewed as an afterthought in reaction to the fast-changing business climate. Olzak says the proliferation of new mobile devices, IoT sensors, big data feeds and layers of cloud software automation have greatly increased the risks of digital security.
"Not only must we protect against the continuous barrage of attacks and breaches that have become almost daily headlines," Olzak said. "Now we also need to apply cutting-edge innovations to anticipate future unknown vulnerabilities and create extensible security systems that can evolve and learn over time."
