TP-Link's Neffos Smartphone Brand Showcases Products at MWC 2017

Two of its most recent offerings, the 5-inch Neffos X1 and the 5.5-inch Neffos X1 Max, are showcased at MWC 2017 from February 27 to March 2 in Barcelona, the mobile capital of the world. They can be found at Booth No. 6A30 at Fira Gran Via.

The former is already available in Cloudy Grey and Sunrise Gold variants across most countries in Western and Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. The X1 Max, on the other hand, will hit those markets in the second quarter this year.

Designed for the perfect user experience

Built with the best experience in mind, the dual-curved metallic back cover of the Neffos X1 and X1 Max has been refined to make it look and feel familiar without losing its structure or character.

Coupled with remarkably slim edges of as low as *2.75 millimeters, one of the narrowest in the industry, and you have an ultra-slender body that measures just **7.85 millimeters. That is matched with a chamfer that's only 0.6-millimeter thin.

The bezels along the sides of the Neffos X1 Series have also been kept narrow and the length of the handsets reduced to give way to a high screen-to-body ratio of 76 percent.

It's protected from bumps, fingerprints, and smudges by a 2.5D curved-edge glass that makes swiping through screens and navigating the interface feel natural.

Unmatched performance

The Neffos X1 and X1 Max, which feature a custom Android 6.0 Marshmallow build with over 3,000 improvements, offer the best technology available to those who want to build connections and stay connected wherever they are.

Running the devices is a MediaTek octa-core chipset that is paired with as much as ***4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. For users that need more room for their files and applications, there is a slot for a microSD card with up to 128GB capacity.

A fingerprint sensor is mounted on the back for added security. This sensor, which also serves as a way to take selfies, unlocks the device with its screen on in as fast as 0.2 seconds.

The Neffos X1 and X1 Max are fitted with a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone flash, 5-element lens, and backside illumination.

And to help users capture fleeting memories, the main camera likewise features a phase-detection auto-focus of just 0.2 seconds, almost the same as that of an SLR camera. A fast PDAF is in line with Neffos' desire to come up with smartphones that represent "perfection in 0.2 seconds," thus making them fit into today's fast-paced modern lifestyle.

The front bears a 5-megapixel selfie camera that features a wide-angle lens and software that includes a Real-time Beautify mode.
