Toy State Unveils New Branding For Signature Product Lines
Fresh New Look for Road Rippers and Nikko
NORWOOD, Mass., Oct. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Toy State, a global toy industry leader and innovator, today unveiled new branding designs for their flagship 'Lights & Sound' and R/C product lines —Road Rippers and Nikko.
"We couldn't be more excited about the new logos and packaging these leading brands will have when they hit retail shelves in 2015," said Andy Friess, Toy State's general manager of US operations and senior vice president of global marketing. "Redefining the Nikko brand was a major design objective following our acquisition, and returning Road Rippers to its signature 'orange package' roots provides an exciting refresh for the leader in the Lights & Sound vehicle category."
Toy State will showcase the new-look product lines and branding at the upcoming Dallas Toy Fair October 7-9, and during the Hong Kong Toy Fair in January.
"The Nikko brand has been a global leader for more than 50 years in the R/C space," said Friess. "This new branding effectively conveys the innovation found in all of Nikko's products, setting the brand up for its next 50 years of success. Toy State can't wait to show the new-look Nikko to our retail partners and consumers worldwide."
Toy State made news in May when it announced it had acquired Nikko and Nikko Entertainment BV. These moves come on the heels of a period of aggressive growth by the company that has included recent new licensing partnerships with global brands including Hot Wheels, Transformers, Hello Kitty and Angry Birds, in addition to their longstanding partnership with Caterpillar.
