"Earning my degree with Touro University Worldwide has been a life changing experience. Communicating with fellow students and professors via Web-X and blogs and one to one, has sharpened my writing and communication skills and enhanced my understanding of different cultures, ideas, and possibilities," said Lorraine Palmer, Valedictorian of the Touro University Worldwide 2012 graduating class.
"This has been a special event for TUW. Our students are all so highly qualified and intelligent that choosing just one person as Valedictorian and one student for the Vision Award was no easy task," said Dr. Toni Thomas Luskin, Faculty Chair of the Media and Communications Psychology program. "Lorraine Palmer is an inquisitive, sharp, gifted individual who represents what a Valedictorian should be at the Master's degree level. Lorraine had the single most perfect course completion record and highest GPA of the class. Marissa Co, our Vision Award recipient, is a popular, energetic, exceptional individual who embodies the vision of what TUW and the Touro College and University System asserts in its commitment to the transmission of knowledge, supporting social justice, and showing compassionate concern for all," added Dr. Luskin.
"I am greatly touched and honored to be the recipient of such an award and to be a part of this university that has literally kept me engaged and excited to learn new and relevant ideas. I am proud to be an example for my kids, demonstrating that you are never too old to continue your education," stated Marissa Co, Vision Award recipient and new graduate of the Media and Communications Psychology program.
