These 30 graduates have worked very hard to earn their Master's degrees in Media Communications Psychology, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and in the MBA program. Since this is the first graduating class for TUW, these graduates are now creating the alumni association as its founding members," Luskin continued.
"In addition, the new graduates will also become proud alumni within the Touro College and University System," added Luskin.
Among the first alumni are Lorraine Palmer, first Valedictorian, and a medical communications professional with 10 years experience within the biotech/pharmaceutical industries, Michael Goldstein, an award winning journalist, and Richard Kroon, who is author and the Executive Director of Hollywords, LLC, a media & entertainment (M&E) industry publishing and consulting company, Scott Sobel, long time media and communications professional and president of his PR firm, Media and Communications Strategies, Inc., Alisa German and Susana Bojorquez, each having extensive professional careers in media, entertainment, travel and other fields.
"The caliber of students graduating is extraordinary. Many of the graduates already hold a master's degree in another field, some have a Ph.D. and others are successful career professionals who wanted to earn their graduate degree to be current and competitive with in their field. The caliber of our graduates is exceptional," said Dr. Toni Thomas Luskin, Professor and Chair of the Media and Communications Psychology program.
"Touro University Worldwide has provided me with theory, knowledge, and the new experience of communicating with fellow students from all over the world. This has been an incredible experience and has stretched me scholastically allowing me to experience how small the world really is because of working with fellow students all over the world," said Richard Kroon, graduate in the Media and Communications Psychology program.
"This has been an incredible experience. During my studies, my New Zealand home was destroyed in a terrible earthquake; the outpouring of support and care from the faculty and students was wonderful and amazing since most were half a world away, yet they comforted me as if they were standing next to me. I truly learned so much at Touro and it has definitely been applicable to my career in medical communications," said Lorraine Palmer, now graduating in the Media and Communications Psychology program.
"These first thirty graduates are participants in many firsts. First TUW graduation, first degree recipients in the MA degree programs in Media and Communications Psychology, Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Business Administration, and first members of the alumni association," amplified Palmer.
