TouchStorm Increases Reach by 11% in May
Reach and Engagement Levels for Howdini Videos Receive High Marks on comScore's May Video Metrix Entertainment and Multimedia Report
NEW YORK, June 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- TouchStorm, the premier source for online video distribution and content development, today announced that the reach of its editorial distribution network increased 11% in May 2011 over the previous month, bringing the network's total U.S. viewership potential to 32 million, according to the most recent comScore figures.
This month marks the fifth consecutive month that TouchStorm has ranked in the top 10th percentile within comScore's Video Metrix Entertainment and Multimedia report.
The comScore report also shows that TouchStorm's library of informative Howdini videos also continues to maintain high levels of engagement, with videos viewed on average for 3.1 minutes per viewer in May. The length of views is a direct result of TouchStorm's commitment to the application of strict journalistic standards in creating and curating high quality video content.
"Length of views and total number of views are two statistics that are top priorities for our videos and are essential to our programs' success—and the success of our publisher and brand partners," said Alison Provost, chairman and CEO of TouchStorm. "While we could not be happier with these results, they're not a total surprise to us as we believe that we've developed a very strategic formula to online video success. As we continue to grow our editorial distribution network and push the envelope in creating innovative, quality content that consumers are interested in and actively searching for, we're helping our partners remove the guesswork from using online video as a vehicle for engaging their audiences."
