Pirtle joins TOTSY from Gilt Groupe, where he co-founded and developed the Jetsetter portal for private sales of high-end travel packages.

Prior to joining TOTSY, Pirtle co-founded and developed Jetsetter as CTO of Gilt Travel, architecting and building the scalable commerce platform. He joined Gilt from KickApps, where he led developer relations as vice president and worked with the third party developer community. Before KickApps, Pirtle was lead architect for The N/MTV Networks designing and re-implementing a high-traffic website that peaked at over 50 million weekly views.
In addition to his work with large corporations, Pirtle is a seasoned entrepreneur. Diving into the tech boom in 1995, he founded and led Buzzwerks, a successful website development company, until his relocation to Europe in 2000. He then launched Spacemonkey Laboratories, a provider of technical and marketing services for online business focusing on open source technologies. In 2004, he was a core developer in the team that created the Mambo CMS and then became co-creator of the resulting Joomla! CMS.
Pirtle joins a first class management team that includes CEO Guillaume Gauthereau, formerly CEO of Lalique USA and once executive at LVMH with 15 years of experience in the retail industry, President and COO Christophe Garnier, who brings 12 years of digital media experience with a strong digital marketing, user acquisition and product development track record at companies such as Mobile365, Enpocket and mSmart, and Vice President of Merchandising Marcy Allen , who spearheads vendor strategy leveraging 25 years of experience in the children's product space working with top brands such as Baby Gap and Calvin Klein.
