McCorkle will be actively involved in Torchlite's operations, providing expert direction on go-to-market strategies and contributing to the development of the product and technology. Rohrs will be leveraging his extensive marketing experience at the board level to help guide the company's approach and vision to empowering marketers.
"I speak with marketing executives every day and there is a strong common theme: companies need help accelerating their marketing plans to action," said Executive Chairman Scott McCorkle." Help means technology to identify marketing objectives and then help managing marketing campaigns and deliverables to completion. And help means finding experts to do the work."
"More than ever, there is a critical need for some company to focus on the full breadth of marketing in a way to help marketers identify, prioritize and staff their marketing objectives," McCorkle continued. "This company is Torchlite."
Fueled by strong demand, Torchlite achieved 228 percent revenue growth over the last 12 months; tripled its customer base; and grew its network to more than 250 freelance marketing experts.
"What makes us different is that we give marketers a powerful platform to directly connect their marketing plan to a network of vetted marketing experts, called Torchliters. These marketing pros build brand awareness, manage your social presence, drive leads or execute virtually any marketing campaign," said Torchlite CEO Susan Marshall. "Picking up where the other 5,000 martech companies leave off, we focus on helping marketers deliver outcomes and results, no matter what technology they use."
"Torchlite's impressive combination of technology and on-demand talent stands to help companies of all sizes market more efficiently and effectively than ever before," said Rohrs. "Their offering eliminates either/or marketing hiring decisions, allowing organizations to tap into a deep bench with rich strategic, creative and technological expertise that it would take years to otherwise build in-house."
