DALLAS, June 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Global golf entertainment leader Topgolf® today named Make-A-Wish® its national charity partner. As part of the relationship, Topgolf commits to raising a minimum of $100,000 in 2016 for Make-A-Wish through co-branded merchandise, guest donations, sponsored events and a limited-time-offer menu selection this fall.
Make-A-Wish, one of the world's leading children's charities, grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. As part of its national partnership, Topgolf will help grant wishes for children who are interested in golf.
"Make-A-Wish is a natural fit for Topgolf as many of our associates already are personally involved with the organization," said Topgolf CEO Ken May. "Make-A-Wish provides fun, unforgettable memories to children and their families, which aligns with Topgolf's vision to create the best times of your life. We are so excited to support Make-A-Wish and make an impact together."
In addition to granting wishes, Topgolf will extend its support for the organization by:
Providing guests the opportunity to make donations to Make-A-Wish in $1, $5 or $10 increments added to their tab;
Offering co-branded Topgolf and Make-A-Wish merchandise, including a hat and ball marker poker chip, with a portion of the proceeds donated to Make-A-Wish;
Hosting events and fundraisers for Make-A-Wish chapters at Topgolf's more than 23 venues across the United States; and
Cooking up an exclusive, limited-time-offer dessert on the menu at all U.S. Topgolf locations with a portion of the proceeds donated to Make-A-Wish.
Branded merchandise sales and guest donations begin today. The limited-time-offer dessert will be available to guests this fall.
"Being named Topgolf's official national charity partner is an honor, and we are thrilled to have the support of its leaders, associates and guests," said Make-A-Wish America President and CEO David Williams. "Through its desire to create life-changing experiences for wish kids, Topgolf has shown that it truly cares deeply about our mission and its role in creating meaningful memories for the children and their families."
