CompTIA announced today that Steven M.R. Covey, co-founder and chief executive officer of CoveyLink Worldwide, is the keynote speaker for the annual event April 10-12, 2012. Covey is scheduled to speak at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11.
"Stephen M. R. Covey is a highly sought after speaker and business advisor on trust, leadership, ethics and high performance," said Kelly Ricker, senior vice president, events and education, CompTIA. "He presents a compelling narrative of why trust is an essential ingredient not only in a well-functioning society, but in high-performing organizations."
In his best-selling book The Speed of Trust Covey contends that there is an important economic case to be made for trust, because it can increase speed in business, lower costs, streamline transactions and decisions and help with innovation, engagement and the attraction and retention of talent.
Attendees will receive a copy of Covey's latest book, Smart Trust, during a book signing immediately following the keynote.
The CompTIA Annual Member Meeting offers extensive opportunities for IT channel business owners and executives to network with peers; discuss and strategize on issues affecting their business; and learn about the trends shaping the IT industry.
