Top Executive From The Economist Named CEO of Carbone Smolan Agency
NEW YORK, Oct. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- As of October 1, 2018, Paul Rossi has joined Carbone Smolan Agency (CSA) in the new role of CEO. The announcement was made by Ken Carbone, founding partner of CSA.
Rossi comes to CSA from The Economist, where he was most recently president of the Group's Global Media Businesses.
While at The Economist, Rossi transitioned the publication from a niche magazine to a leading multi-platform media brand. He also created new marketing solutions capabilities for clients—products and services that allowed them to engage their customers with meaningful content in print, online, on social media, and in person.
The result was revenue growth and increased profits for The Economist and its clients, at a time when most publications faced decline. In recognition, Adweek named The Economist "the hottest magazine in America," and named Rossi, together with the publication's editor-in-chief, Executives of the Year.
