Chef Casey's preparation for her role as Terrazas' U.S. Spokesperson included an immersion into the wines and culinary scene of the Mendoza region, home to Terrazas wines. "Argentina is a food and wine lover's paradise," reports Chef Casey. "Dark, rich reds made from the country's widely popular Malbec variety are a perfect accompaniment to the slow-cooked Asado grilling style of Argentina. Savoring Terrazas against the dramatic backdrop of the Andes was one of those perfect moments when flavor truly expresses a sense of place and becomes an experience to remember - I'm thrilled that I will be sharing this with my fans."
Inspired by her travels and the unique profile of Terrazas wines, Chef Casey has created a signature line of recipes designed to pair perfectly with Terrazas de los Andes. Recipes include: Malbec Short Ribs; Citrus Chimichurri; Dulce de Leche with Chocolate and Sea Salt; and classic Empanadas.
Chef Casey is available for media interviews, including wine education and culinary demos. To request more information, including interviews, recipes and samples of Terrazas wines, please contact [email protected].
About Terrazas de los Andes
First released in 1997 under the leadership of Moet & Chandon, Terrazas de los Andes is located in a restored 19th Century hacienda in Lujan de Cuyo, a region in the western province of Mendoza (Argentina). Set against the imposing Cordon del Plata section of the Andes Mountains, Terrazas wines rely on elevation as a determining factor for aroma, body and grape concentration. The combination of height, dry soils, sunshine and cooling mountain breezes result in the unique growing conditions that have positioned Argentina among the most popular and fastest growing wine categories worldwide. Terrazas de los Andes is the leading producer of premium Malbec from Argentina, and makes an award-winning line of varietal wines, including Torrontes, Argentina's signature white wine. Terrazas de los Andes wines are imported by Estates & Wines/Moët Hennessy USA.
